A Fresno Engagement Session: Ryan+Megan

The weather is changing and the days are getting longer. Last Monday I captured the love between Ryan and Megan. Ryan is back from the Air Force and was all smiles with his bride Megan.

We all had fun running around taking photos before the sun went down. I wish them both all the best.

An L.A. Engagement: Josh+Gabi

I love to shoot in L.A. I’m not exactly sure why I love to shoot down there I just do. Last Saturday I photographed the engagement session for Josh and Gabi. They live in the heart of L.A. so running around the city wasn’t too crazy.

Josh and Gabi are awesome people with very relaxed personalities and they weren’t afraid to show it. I am really looking forward to their wedding next year and anytime they want to go to a Giants game I’m in.

A San Francisco Engagement: Matt + Kristin

Opening day is just around the corner and you know what that means, Matt & Kristin are getting married. That and the San Francisco Giants will begin their quest for the playoffs. Yes, last Saturday Kristin and Matt joined me in the rain at AT&T park for engagement photos.

We had to reschedule our original date in February because of rain so we decided we would just go for it rain or shine. We had a great time and captured some beautiful photos of the love between them both.

Looking forward to shooting their wedding and to watching the Giants!

Lifestyle Portraits: Mando + Zuleica

Yesterday I met Mando and Zuleica for a lifestyle portrait session in downtown Fresno. The forecast called for rain but instead it was just a beautiful overcast evening. We all had a great time just relaxing and capturing the love. I wish Mando all the best and will pray that God will keep him safe as he is scheduled to be deployed to Afghanistan in the coming weeks.

A Fresno Wedding: Kristine + Elliott

Last Saturday was beautiful. Kristine and Elliott were married surrounded by friends and family who love them. Elliott and his brother Oliver have a very similar sense of humor to my own. I found this out while taking photos of them getting ready and watching Futurama and clips from Princess Bride.

Kristine who looked stunning in her wedding dress was totally relaxed and allowed the guests at the reception to be included in Elliott’s masterful playing of the piano. I wish them both all the best in the future and I thank them for allowing me to be apart of the start of their lives together.

Blossom Trail Engagement – Richard + Brianna

Having grown up in Kingsburg I’m very familiar with the community feel of a small town and I love it! Saturday I photographed Richard & Brianna who settled in nicely in front of the camera. Our first stop was along the blossom trail in Kingsburg. We also stopped at Victorian Gardens of Two Sisters who graciously welcomed us to take some engagement photos at their location. We also found a field of unusual yellow flowers. We found the farmer preparing to disc the field and he explained that it was Napa cabbage that had gone to seed. He also shared with us how different cultures use different parts of the flowers. I don’t think Richard and Brianna thought their engagement shoot would be so educational but you learn something new everyday! Got a little scared when we heard guns going off nearby, but everyone made it home safe and sound. Quite an adventurous engagement session meeting some great people in and around Kingsburg along the way! Here’s a few from their session…enjoy!

A Riverdale Wedding | Ashley+Joey

So Saturday was my birthday, February 4th. I’ve always liked my birth date. I think it’s because it fits perfectly behind Christmas and is not too far away from the start of baseball season.

Well Saturday was also a great choice for Ashley and Joey to begin their life together. They were married at Saint Ann’s Catholic Church in Riverdale, CA. Riverdale is where my mom grew up and where I spent many weekends and summers playing at my grandparents home. My mother-in-law grew up in Riverdale and my in-laws were married at Saint Ann’s almost 42 years ago as well. Small world!

I’ve always loved Riverdale because the people there are very close and extremely friendly. Ashley and Joey’s family and friends were no exception, and their wedding was all about that closeness and friendship. I met Joey’s Grandfather, Mr. Mendes who knew my Grandfather and was a student in his first High School class. Their reception was at his barn…a great setting!

The day flew by and the emotions were more than present. I wish Ashley and Joey all the best in their lives together and know they will continue to honor their families by just being themselves.
